It’s here! The Knightdale Spring Carnival 2024 has arrived, promising a week of neon lights, laughter, and heart-pounding rides. Whether you’re a thrill-seeker, a cotton candy enthusiast, or simply looking for family-friendly fun, this event has something for everyone.

Knightdale Carnival 2024 Dates and Location

From March 28th to April 7th, the Midtown Commons Shopping Center in Knightdale, NC, will come alive with the carnival’s sights, sounds, and sticky-sweet, fried smells. Located at 1000 Shoppes at Midway Dr, this spot right off of I-540 allows folks from around the Triangle to hop on over and get in their microcosm version of the NC State Fair.

The carnival is also conveniently located next to the newly-opened Academy Sports + Outdoors store, so do some spring sports shopping while you’re out and about!

One fair warning about the location—this carnival is set up in a grassy area, which has quickly already gotten some wear. There is mulch on the ground, but if it’s rained lately, just make sure to wear some older shoes or boots that you don’t mind getting a little muddy.

Why Attend?

  1. Supporting a Great Cause: The Spring Carnival collaborates with the Knightdale Police Department to raise funds for the Special Olympics of North Carolina. By attending, you’ll have a blast and contribute to a worthy cause.
  2. Rides and Games: Get ready for a whirlwind of rides! There’s no shortage of thrills, from the classic Tilt-A-Whirl to the adrenaline-pumping High-Flyer. And don’t forget the classic carnival games—try your luck at ring toss, duck pond, or the ever-popular balloon darts.
  3. Delicious Treats: Indulge your taste buds with all-time favorites. Picture yourself savoring a warm funnel cake, sticky cotton candy, or biting into a salty gyro. The Spring Carnival will offer you plenty of opportunities to indulge.
  4. Family Fun: Bring the whole family! Watch your kids’ eyes light up as they experience the magic of riding in their “own” Farm Tractor, or take a spin on the Dizzy Dragons ride. Create memories that will last a lifetime.
  5. Community Bonding: The carnival brings people together. You’ll see friends, neighbors, and new faces—all sharing laughter, screams, and the joy of being part of a community that likes to let loose and have a great time.

The Knightdale Carnival is all about Safety First

  • The carnival organizers prioritize safety. According to the Powers and Thomas Midway Entertainment (carnival operator) website, Powers and Thomas Midway Entertainment “was awarded the prestigious “North Carolina Safety Amusement Star Award” for excelling far beyond expectations in ride safety and maintenance.”
  • Height restrictions ensure that everyone enjoys the rides safely. Wristbands are not recommended for children under 36 inches, and parents of kids under 48 inches should check height requirements before purchasing.
  • Reminder- Individuals under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
